Completely off subject but, how does one sign off with a saying or quote below their name? -
Not in the apartment or the back part of that addition on our house. Rockwool insulation between the joists and a sheet of 1" foam under the ceiling joists with the beaded board below that. I try to avoid sheetrock ceilings. -

Two sets of hands and plenty of platform ladders at a minimum to stand on. It was easier when I had two big strong helpers, but we managed today. I'd get on my platform first and Pam helped me get the sheet over my head, then handed me the staple gun and got up on her platform to align the rabbeted edge. I had fastener locations marked, so as soon as she said it was right, I popped it. I used a pneumatic stapler shooting 7/16" wide crown 2" leg staples shot on top of the bead that won't need anything but a couple of coats of paint to not be noticeable. A flat ceiling is a lot easier. I can do that by myself with a drywall lift, but it doesn't work that well on a sloped ceiling. The beaded board is not that heavy. Largest pieces today were five feet long. I'll cover the long joints with MDF "boards" only held up with Powergrab so there are no nail holes to have to fair. I've built a fair number of these ceilings since I put one in our dog room in 2004. I put one in the rental house to cover a stained popcorn sheetrock ceiling. Picture of the first one in the dog room. I just covered the stained ceiling up with the beaded board. Sorry, I can't find the picture of the finished ceiling in the rental house. They all look pretty much the same though. And one I just took a picture of in our bathroom.
