I made these for a friend from birch ply with poplar face frames. They ride on 2" casters and sit about 1/2" off the floor. Brushed on two coats of amber shellac and then sprayed on two coats of clear. The moldings have a heavy coat of cherry stain and two coats of clear shellac.
