My wife and I took a trip to Germany and ran across some folks who lived in an 18th century farmhouse that had been in their family since it was built. They invited us to stay in one of their guest houses for free instead of another hotel. Despite Hostel movie reruns running through my head my wife wanted to stay there. We stayed two nights and would have stayed longer if we didn't have other reservations. As a thank you for their generosity I made them a serving tray to place on their ottoman that they used as a coffee table.
