Murphy Bed - Complete w/ view of Walnut color

This is my queen size murphy bed that was designed to look like an armoire. Obviously the doors and drawers are fake - they are just part of the overall disguise.

My thought process was all around how to pull the eyes away from the actual gap where the murphy bed pulls out. Things like:

- Crown molding hide the top line

- Fake hinges on the doors

- Separators between the door sets and drawers with a gap that matches the sides.

- Door handles, drawer handles to make them appear to be functional

Everything was mounted to 1/4" walnut plywood that was stained to match the front panels & drawers. The assemblies were then attached to the metal frame that holds the bed and also attaches to the murphy hardware.
