Bench Lathe

Lawrence Brown

Another feature I added was threaded inserts along the front edge. This way I can bolt various tools and such to the top of the bench. Here I've mounted one of my lathes to the top. The bolts keep it from jumping around, and the weight of the table helps dampen vibration. The lathe itself is a nice used Delta Midi that I got from the local Woodcraft when they were updating their classrooms.

I should also mention that the small vise you see here is one that I attached a while ago in an emergency when my head vise broke. It's not placed very well, and I keep meaning to remove it, but you know how that goes.
