mlingenfelter 5 Posted May 26, 2011 Report Share The concave piece are suppose to represent leather straps, that are pulled tight. Darrell says these straps help anchor the piece and give it weight. We used a combination of the table saw and router to make them. The main cove was cut using the table saw. Maybe you have seen the process of running a board across a Table Saw blade, at an angle to create a cove. The rest of the shape was created using a router and templates. The pieces are just glue right to the skirt. Quote Link to comment
