A tip for better results on acrylic edges (yours looks a little frayed) cut the acrylic at the table saw, using a sharp blade. Sand the edge up to 320 or better 400. Clean the edge with water (never use chemicals or alcohol, this will leave tiny cracks). After the water is dried, melt the edge with a verry hot flame (try this at an offcut first, it requires a fine balance between the speed you pass along the edge and the temperature of the flame) This has to be done in ONE pass. If you have done it right, the edge will be as clear as the surface. I think I should make a video. The acrylic for the pictureframe has been treated the way. Take care Peter Quote Link to comment
