ddg 0 Posted August 14, 2010 Report Share Is this your own design or did you buy a plan? Keggers, It's my own design. I let the drawer depth (DVD storage) determine the cabinet height. It is 8" wider than a 46" TV (we didn't want a lot of apace on each side of the TV). Doug Quote Link to comment
thewoodwhisperer 944 Posted August 15, 2010 Report Share The ray flecks on this piece are beautiful! Nicely done. Quote Link to comment
mmonday 3 Posted August 15, 2010 Report Share Misson style is my favorite and you've captured it very, very well. Great piece. How did you finish it? Quote Link to comment
ddg 0 Posted August 16, 2010 Report Share Thanks for the comments. bluwoods, I used Lowes Cabot Early American stain and Varathane Diamond Wood Finish (water based) for the clear coat. The Varathane was OK. I've gone back to General Finishes Arm-R-Seal on all my new projects. It's hard to mess up. You can brush it, or wipe it on with a cloth. The only down side is it's oil instead of water based. Doug Quote Link to comment
