  1. The way that I cut them is to cut them all to length and then tape them all togeher. Then I use a miter gauge to push them through a 1/4" dado blade. I do add a very small spacer in the dado blade so they all fit together nicely.

  2. I didn't rake, but "blew"/threw leaves with the riding mower. Took me a couple of hours to get this acre and a half, or so, piece. Whitecaps on the lake with wind from a helping direction. I just threw them across the road, into the woods. The mower shredded most of the bulk, and the wind took the dust away. What you see in the road is what was left by the time I got that far. Took me almost two hours, but I was sitting in an Air Ride seat, with power steering.

  4. I as thinking about that as well. I have some cabinet screws that have quite a large head and might dig in a lot better than a regular flat head wood screw. I'm goign to try this and I'll post my results.

  5. @wtnhighlander I lost track of this thread for awhile. Came looking for it this morning. The frame looks great. Clean, strong lines and the finish is top notch.

  6. Have at it! I think if it was a lighter frame, a groove with a keyhole slot in the outer edge, hung on pan-head screws, might be more secure. These screw heads aren't very big, so a little bump from below could dislodge the bevel, if it weren't so heavy. ... and happy upcoming anniversary!

  7. I really like the hanging method that is slick. Like really slick. I'm going to have to borrow that. For Megan for our 1st anniversary, I'm going to make a framed travel map, I might have to borrow that hanging method.

  8. Just received a Milwaukee packout rolling container: I'm impressed with the size of this thing. I wasn't expecting it to be that big, but I like it. I won't have to spend 20 minutes french fitting my tools after using them, I should be able to just drop them in. I also got a couple of small boxes for screws.

  9. Seems like everyone has been busy! I had a couple of days off but didn't get too much done. Installed some new ceiling lights at my parents place and helped my dad work on a bench he's making. Just finished the refinancing process on our house earlier today. Hoping to get some time in this weekend on my TV stand. Also submitted 2 weeks of vacation time for December so it looks like I'll be working all of 8 days that month. Kids will be home for 2 weeks so I really only have a week to crank stuff out.
