  1. I'm in the market for a small dust collector (just to handle a table saw and a router table). After reading several reviews, it looked like the Delta 50-760 came out on top of most tests, and it seemed to be in the $300-$350 range. I had pretty much made up my mind, when I noticed that all of the tests were in 2005 or so. Then when I went to look for a place to buy it, I couldn't really find it anywhere, and on Amazon it was $450! Is there a reason why the price would have gone up? Has anything changed in 8 years? Anyone know where to get a 50-760? Or is there a new winner of more recent tool tests/comparisons that I just didn't find? Thanks! David
  2. In one of the Wood Whisperer videos I heard Marc say he likes his Veritas 4" combo square. I found a "double square" on Lee Valley/Veritas website - http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?p=44279&cat=1,42936 but I haven't been able to find a "normal" combo square. I was just going to get this one (because I never really use the 45 degree part of the handle anyway), but I was concerned with "it features a slimmer than normal stock" in the description because it isn't clear how slim it actually is. Has anyone used this? Any complaints about the size of the stock? Any drawbacks to a double square for standard layout marking? Any other recommendations (probably no need for a Starrett...)? Thanks, David
