  1. A great interview of Sam Maloof to check out!
  2. question to G S HAYDON? Does your company happen to bring on apprentices? Are you aware of any woodworking companies in the UK that do?
  3. Has anyone had experience with Quansheng hand planes. It is my belief that that are the UK equivelent to WoodRiver planes. They are a reasonable price and am just wondering if anyone has used them before? and if so which plane? I am looking to purchase a low angle jack plane. Many Thanks Josh

  5. Hi all Does anyone recognize this design? It is a 20th century telephone table/ chair, constructed of what I think is teak. Many Thanks Josh
  6. I am only 20 and have many woodworking years ahead of me. However there is one thing that I have learned, and heard from every woodworker, No matter what tools they seem to have in their shops/ trucks there is always some point when they go back to basics and use their planes, chisels and handsaws, even if only for brief periods of time. This is when I believe a woodworker will appreciate the wonders of modern woodworking technology. Unfortunately there is no formula as to when a woodworker will go back to basics, But im sure it will happen to all of us!
  7. I am 20 years old and am positive that a career in woodworking is one that I want to proceed with. I am a resident of the UK and am currently building up my tool collection for the small shop I have in my shed in my garden. It is now time for me to purchase a table saw/ contractor saw. My shop is not big enough (along with my budget) for a big table saw with a cast iron top, However I am thinking about purchasing the Dewalt DW745 contractor saw. I am curious if anyone has had experience with this saw, or if anyone can recommend a saw that is good quality but within the £400/ 650 usd price range? Many Thanks in advance! Josh
