  2. General use they work well. I use a shop vac on mine it works well with the attachment with the brush on the back. The other attachments seem to pick up the mats. Rolling the vac around is not a problem it doesn't roll as easy as the concrete but not an issue. I haven't had it long enough to recognize any issues yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. This is with it half done. I bought all they had the first day and had to go back later. I don't have. Picture of it all done and am not at home. Sorry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I just bought anti fatigue mats like tiodos suggested. I got tired of denting my wood and dropped a brand new router bit after one use. That was enough. Bought them from harbor freight they were $10 for like 17 sf. I spent about 200 but well worth it. I just put my garage door down and cut the mats around it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. There is little to gain from removing the paint besides having it look nice unless there is a chance for rusting. As far as refinishing the knob and polishing, this is also a preference. If you want it to look nice polish those up. Here is the place I get most of my parts. http://stores.ebay.com/New-Hampshire-Plane-Parts/Stanley-Bailey-Stanley-/_i.html?_nkw=Nut&submit=Search&_fsub=1136819017&_sid=944709697. Here is a picture of a #4 I painted, polished, sanded and finished. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I started to build this crib after I found out that my wife and I are going to have a baby girl in November. My wife's grandpa said he wanted to give us some money for the crib. I said I would much rather build the crib. So that is where the story begins. I drew a sketch. then I made a to scale drawing. Which it looks nothing like. Bought all of the lumber Now I'm ready to start. Because I wanted the slats to have a curve, I decided to cut all of the tenons first. Once I had all of the tenons cut I needed to cut the mortises. Because I don't have a mortiser and I had almost 40 slats I needed a way to cut them relatively quick so I made this jig. From there I cut the shape of the headboard from a template then used a flush trim bit to get it how I wanted it. Here is what she look like. Did some string inlay on the rails. Then my wife said she wanted an inlay. Of course I said okay. Here is what she came up with. This is going to take a while
  19. Hello everyone. I am a woodworker from Colorado Springs. I do woodworking pretty much every chance I get. I love building things and showing them off. Enjoy the woodwhisperer it has taught me many skills. I never knew about the forum until recently. Every time I heard Marc talk about wood talk I thought they were talking about the podcast. Glad I found it and can't wait to talk to others with a similar passion. I am currently working on a crib. I will be posting it in the project showcase once it is complete.
