  1. Here we go again... Look at the quote in my signature.
  2. I looked at a bunch of stools and ended up with this one. I like it but sometimes wish I could lock the wheels. It's comfortable for long sessions at my CNC. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I3ZRQM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Flocking

I tried flocking a couple Christmas's ago. Same as others have said the Donjer flocking is a mess but it works extremely well. They offer two methods for application, a hand pump or a compressor driven spray unit. I opted for the hand pump and after about 8 boxes I got pretty good and not making to big a mess.
  4. I think I might make the 1500 mile drive Seems like a great deal if you need those toolls.
  5. Hmmm both are too big for the shop... Sorry for the hijack...
  6. Those Tuatara remind me of those 50's scifi movies with dinosaurs... very cool.
  7. I have to wonder if it's in good condition given that price. I had to sell my PCS 3HP 52" with all those same accessories plus the dado kit and I got near what I paid for it.
  8. I have the Milwaukee 12V Fuel drills and I love them. I have some older 18v Porter Cables that I never use. You may find the 12v sufficient and they are much lighter and smaller.
  9. Are you talking about the new 18BX or the 14BX? The 18 looks very nice Just under 2k
  10. Seems to be missing a blade guard (pork chop).
  11. Although not a panacea...make sure you purchase domain privacy as that will cut down on the annoying emails and phones a little.

    Table stand

Not sure I can offer any sage advice on finish and wood but...Please use a coaster! Also, I I would alter the design to have the remote on the side so I don't have to reach around the table.
  13. I started to build my spray booth and then reality struck. Do I really need a huge booth that I can walk into? Most of the projects I do are small. So after buy everything I needed for a big booth I ended up with this: LOL It will be enclosed in 6mil plastic but the front will be open. The fan is a ~500 CFM squirrel cage fan connect to the downdraft table. Did some smoke tests on it without the plastic enclosure and it truly sucks...good sucks. I will post a video when it's complete. I intend to exhaust outside. I am sure the efficiency will drop once I have it fully plumbed but it should serve it's purpose. It's also simple to break down as I didn't glue the pvc. Hey if it doesn't work I will have a new downdraft sanding table Of course paint filters will go in the cavity above and will install a loose mesh over the motor to keep the filters from getting sucked in. Also considering putting ramps on either side of the fan to encourage airflow...
  14. If you look a the pictures of the new outfeed table there is mobile base on the saw...weird..
  15. Zoro.com has a pretty good discount up until today. 20-25% depending on what you spend. Obviously some brand restrictions. However, I didn't see Powermatic, Jet and some others on the list.
  16. I second Mick's suggestion for the CNCZone.com forums and also add http://www.routerforums.com/cnc-routing/ Not as active as CNCZone but still a good resource.
  17. There are now 2 options for dust collection: http://www.sawstop.com/saw-options/dust-collection I had the original and used it...what do you all think of the newer albeit more expensive version? Also new outfeed table option if you don't want to build..
  18. That's a beautiful home for trash.
  19. No worries Chestnut... Sorry I was referring to Mark buying the Laguna 3hp unit and quoted the wrong post. I love the whole CNC debate since I like popcorn
  20. Make sure you get the "crossbar". It was added later in the design to help with the effectiveness of dust separation by this unit. (they may be including it now). There is a Youtube video that discusses it. I will try to locate and update here. I bought that same unit but had a slight problem when I dropped it Long story... I have a thread here somewhere where I confess my stupidity. In the end I went with a ClearVue as I needed the higher power for my CNC. PS you may want to check out the posts over on Lumberjocks regarding this unit as there is a lengthy thread with a lot of participation Link to video regarding crossbar
  21. As winter approaches I have been thinking about spray booth options myself. I've been looking at trying to create a collapsible unit similar to this. http://btdgarage.en.made-in-china.com/product/IKBQqsTvLwkf/China-Good-Ventilation-Retractable-Spray-Painting-Room.html https://www.dans-hobbies.com/2009/05/05/collapsible-spray-booth/ http://deeconstructed.com/diy-fold-up-paint-booth/
