Thanks Coop, yeah just start and stop marks on the fence and on the board, I use my dado stack both ways that you have shown with no problems whatsoever
-
I don’t know if this applies but might help, I do this all the time with no sacrificial fence, also use the mitre gauge and sled with no problem
-
Not sure what you mean Coop, isn’t it done that way all the time or am I missing something?
-
Great idea Chet and I have some 3/16” brass rod too, just didn’t think of if, next time, thanks for the idea
-
Here ya go @Chet, I did the first ones like this after I forgot to dado the sides and liked the simplicity of the install, basically cut the divider to the exact width, clamp in place with a couple of scrap blocks to secure it, 1/4” hole, 3/4” deep and 1/4” dowels glued in place top and bottom sanded flush, easy, quick and there is no load to speak of so it works just great in this application

Thanks I do too, I have 2 son’s in law that collect watches so there may be another one in the near future
-
Thanks Ross, outsource to a local shop that I’ve been using for years
-
been busy lately with all kinds of stuff so i thought i would post it all at once, cherry and walnut watch case for my son-in-law L shaped bank for granddaughter Lucy, and 9 recipe boxes, some mitered corners some box joints and last 2 boxes for cremated dogs, thanks for looking, questions, comments are always welcome

Nice work, I like little pop up jobs like that, people really appreciate them and takes my mind off of more complex jobs
-
I don’t know why some people don’t like them, my 9 year old granddaughter says papa you have your hearing aids in! And says I love you papa, I would never want to miss that
-
They are not ineffective at all but they do have limits like in a crowd, noisy restaurants and so on, I wear mine in the house all the time and they really help, I remember when I got them, I heard birds for the first time in years, it’s like glasses for me if you need them and they help get them no embarrassment for me just a fact
-
Looks great Ross, I bet Cory can’t wait to load it up, it’s been a great ride
-
I’ve had them for 10 years, have an appointment April 5 for new ones, will post a report when I get more info on what’s available
-
I’m just guessing but I think @Chet is the big dog here with 50, Go Chet !

We should open a thread for us “old timers” to give tips to the folks who haven’t been married as long as us, like when she comes home from the salon with a purple Mohawk, how to look at her straight in the eye and say I love it, without laughing, and never criticize her driving when she can hear you and on and on…..
-
I’ve had. One for about 10 years @Coop I only wear them when watching TV or working in the house, in the car with the windows open sounds like a hurricane, noise in restaurants is awful and I turn them off when inside such places, shoot me a PM or phone and I’ll fill you in some more
