    i like the maple idea. i might go for that. maybe laminate several together for the legs.

    thanks for the suggestions guys. been busy with a move. but how about ash? would that be a viable light contrast?

    Just curious as to what might be a good contrasting wood for curly redwood. I've been working on a coffee table made out of a slab or redwood and was wondering what might be a good contrasting wood to make the legs and skirt out of. need help!
