  1. Trying to decide to get rid of it or keep it. Unclear of what it would bring.... Thoughts?
  2. I just make several pieces of material thin enough to bend to the form what you need and of the correct material..
  3. Except we don't run door parts in that order with weaver shapers...cabinet shops run doors through an overhead sander a whole set at a time..the doors are taken to edge sander and then to be profiled on the edge. After that there given a quick once over with an ROS and then hinged and installed. Some shops will drill for handles before installed and some do it after there applied to the cabinets..
  4. You know I worked in residential and commercial shops for 30 years right. From 1983-2013. Why most shops use Weaver brand shapers. When I worked for a Regency Cabinets in Bates City , Mo. They ran 2 sets a day and 10 sets a week. If it was a 4 plex they would do 4 sets a day..they had 9 weaver shapers plus a MDF door machine...
  5. In cabinet shops we cut all parts to length. The ends of all rails are milled and then all lengths are ran... I did notice your bragging about having shapers on Lumberjocks..Happy for ya...
  6. I cant ... even when I started my shop and ran it for two years successfully. The economical crash killed me. If I had stayed in business I was close to hiring help and moving up to weaver shapers. Got caught before the initial investment...
  7. Yall have to ignore me sometimes When I'm feeling bad I get cranky. This reflects in posts...My apologies if offend anybody...
  8. Because as soon as professionals start talking production , hobby wood workers start talking about its just a hobby and there's no hurry. Efficiency is #1 but it comes with a price many woodworkers aren't prepared for..
  9. There really not much gain to a hobby woodworker to spare expense on shapers unless the full intent is to be productive or to make money... Many on here are trying to get from A-Z on a few dollars. I can tell from the pictures you are putting a lot of money in cutters for shapers which would be a waste to 99.9% here. Many buy shapers when they come up cheap, but nobody is going to put a small fortune in cutters for a a few pieces of furniture for themselves....
  10. Darn I forgot the picture...13"
  11. I've seen these on the internet and looking for an alternate source to get these. Can I get prices for these? Similair?
  12. You know your on a hobby forum correct? If you go to Woodweb there are thousands using shapers over there. These forums have been up for years, nothing new to them about shapers they don't need... If you'd like to show pictures of your shop. Make a post about your shop......We all like to see what everyone's doing with there shops.... Kitchen cabinetry is kinda blah, blah. Build furniture? that's nice to see too...
  13. I can only tell you you how it is done. You can do it how you like.... You don't work for me, I'm not your foreman nor are you costing me any money, carry on...
  14. It's a good price if you can use them I pay over $20 just for gear clamps...
  15. Ever worked in a cabinet or commercial shop? Edge sander used a lot more than a jointer with door making. Sands and sizes doors, fits to inset openings, sands cathedral doors, etc. Much more value than a joojter..
  16. You can only get then to a certain point. You take a risk of blow out from a jointer and then not all openings are square and need to be sanded to fit perfectly... A edge sander better than a DA? Yes Better than a jointer ?yes again..
  17. I am selling or trading the kregs... The problem for most is if your cabinet making you use this or that and furniture makers you use this or that..I rarely use cabinet clamps anymore. I bought about 50 bessey parallel clamps when sears was selling out. Kept them a couple days and took all but 4 back... glad I did... I use to buy a lot of vise grip clamps. Northern tool use to sell 5 for $25.. Between the vice grip and Jorgensen gear clamps they see alot of action....
  18. I'm checked Monday , Wed and Fridays for symptoms. Temperature, sickness. It's the best the dialysis clinic can do right now. So far no cases in the clinic...
  19. Been awhile. I don't have the energy I use to, but have the poker itch...See if I still have something left in the gas tank for a couple more tables...
  20. That's why professional use an edge sander...you want to achieve straight line? Edge sander...
  21. That sander attachment will go down as one of those poor purchase decisions in time.....
  22. A lot of these finished floors are for other uses. Some for grand children to Play on in winter time. Somevspaces are repurposed into a shop..
