  1. I'm a newbie so my vote shouldn't be weighed heavily, but as a newbie, I'd love to see a reference section. Even a vocabulary lesson for common acronyms on the site would be helpful. I'm reading through a lot of awesome info but not always understanding since I don't know the abbreviations such as a "gcso board" or using ars to finish (I think that's Arm-R-Seal but that took a few days to come up with). Anyway, I peaked at the clubs, did I miss one for references? I have read somebody's thread on references and ordered three of the books so I'm working on learning. Keep up all the great work in the shops and on the web, I appreciate you guys sharing the knowledge! Jim D
  2. I don't know what happened but I'm guilty of some of the stuff you guys have mentioned. Been lucky so far but will now make a zero clearance sacrificial fence and start using the clamps my saw came with. Didn't realize how lucky I've been. Thanks for posting and and improving my safety. Jim D
  3. I'll have to find out, I lived west of Lincolnton for 13 years and just recently moved to Denver. Most of what I am familiar with is in Hickory, I'll definitely look into Mooresville, thanks for the heads up!
  4. Hi All, Just getting back into wood working after a little learning in 4-H back I the 80's... Realizing I have a lot to learn, I found you! Looking forward to many goofs, a lot of fun, and introducing my 12 year old son to wood working. Talk to you again soon, Jim D
