  2. Im working on restoring a back bar I inherited. I am going to possibly need to buy a few pieces to fix this and do not know what type of wood it is. I have stripped and started sanding it already. My goal is to be able to consistently stain it and I don't want to have to fight having different types of wood. This is my first post and I appreciate any help that could be provided. What type of wood is this? Also, is it normal for the old red stain to keep coming out in small spots?
