This was year 21. Last year we did a James Krenov tribute. This year an illustration by Carl Larsson [1853-1919], THE CARPENTER'S SHOP, which Kari Hultman has posted on her blog.

  2. Small Table series Updated

Tables designed to utilize offcuts of old-growth, river-salvaged Honduras Mahogany. A previously created hall table uses the same material and some of the visual aspects.

  3. Cherry Benches Updated

I created two of these. One is with a trestle-type dining table I built for a dear friend. The other sits in my galley of prototypes (aka living room).

  4. Cherry Stool Updated

Stool was based on FWW article by Gary Rogowski. A good exercise in compound angles and patience.

  5. CST Award Updated

I created this award from Mahogany with Bloodwood base for Santa Barbara’s Center Stage Theater. August 21, 2010 will be the 20th anniversary of the first production to grace our stage. The event will be a mock awards ceremony (sort of a roast) to recognize many of the performers and producers that have made their mark over the past 20 years.

  6. Stool with drawers

Project created with old-growth Mahogany salvaged from the Belize River bottom by Greener Lumber LLC. Heard of them through Popular Woodworking blog. Curved surfaces, bevels, miters – a fun project to put together. A friend did video of the process. Look for 2011 release. 7. Hall Table 2011 Updated

A hall table featuring a floating top, eight slender legs and fun shaping challenges. Material is river-salvaged, old-growth Honduras Mahogany from the the Belize River bottom in 2009. Rich Petty’s Greener Lumber, LLC. researched and brought this treasure to his operation in Mexico, Missouri. Tom ordered the Mahogany after reading a Popular Woodworking blog by senior editor, Glen Huey. This is my second project using the material. It is gratifying to work with lumber with sure a rich story, which hopefully, shall continue for many years.
