duckkisser
is there no reason that pigments cant be added to inlay eather as a epoxy colorent or as and additive to stone dust? came across this site that has all kinds of colors and materials to be used for inlay and was thinking it would be a nice addition to inlay. plus i can mix up my own paints if i needed too. does anyone know if this will work for inlaying with super glue or epoxy? http://www.earthpigments.com/index.cfm
mlingenfelter
I know David Marks using epoxy and dyes for inlays. I'm not sure what he uses for his dyes, but I'll find out in Oct when I take a class from him . I'm not sure why these kinds of pigments wouldn't work. I'd say try it out and see how it goes. Torch02
That's exactly what our very own Tom Iovino did: http://tomsworkbench.com/2011/01/26/inlay-disaster-averted/
duckkisser
Good to know he used acrylic to color his epoxy but will clay and soil based dyes work or not.
