iSawitFirst
I'm a member and visit the site maybe once a week to look at pics. A lot of sugar coated "at-a-boys" and not much technical info. Still, a great way to see what others are doing.

Still, a great way to see what others are doing. Their tool reviews section is setup pretty nice. I haven't really seen anything to equal it thus far

I think the fundamental problem with LJ and some other forums is that little ticker under the avatar: post count. Some people will consciously or subconsciously post anything as a reply to bump that little number up. Two other forums I'm on don't have that problem dispite the post count being displayed, but once a couple people start the "run for the post count" contest, others join in and -poof- you've created LJ. Thing is, LJ has great reviews and some stunning projects. I read the email newsletter to know what's a hot topic and go look sometimes; keeping up with the daily drive-bys, though, uh... no. BTW, nice avatar
rivendale34
I'm a newly joined member there, though I've been a long time lurker. Mainly use it read reviews of products, read a few blogs and check out the latest projects. Love searching it for inspiration. Rarely use the forum and have only posted one project so I don't make full use of it.
stahlee
I'm a member over there. Hard to keep up with so much flying through there.

Frugal Woodguy
I'm a lumberjock. I like the projects and the reviews. It is a powerful site with a lot of "happy" people. It has a nice feel to the camaraderie. There are lots of good details hiding in there, but it is so busy it is very hard to keep up with it all (the curse of a really good forum). DTharp
I'm also a member and frequenter of lumberjocks. The sharing of projects and tool reviews are very helpful for beginners such as myself. The wood whisperer forums have always been much more helpful as far as fair discussion and technical information in my opinion.
billboard
I've been a member there for quite some time. I enjoy viewing other projects. It's also where my friends and family go to view my projects. http://lumberjocks.com/Billboard
