Decent deal for this Powermatic 141 bandsaw?

I have this Grizzly... http://www.grizzly.com/products/The-Ultimate-14-Bandsaw/G0555

I love it, and it wasn't much more than the used one you are looking at. I bought the 6" riser for it, and just bought a mobile base that arrived from Amazon yesterday.

That powermatic may be a great unit, I haven't used one so a comparison isn't fair. But I looked for a very long time before I bought mine, and could not be happier. I use mine on almost every project.

I've spent quite a bit of time looking at the Grizzly bandsaws.

Recent discussion of Grizzly quality issues have me a bit gun shy. I'd honestly be a bit worried that I'd get a lemon and not really know the difference between it and a good saw.

Chuck that's a good deal for an older Powermatic! However if you want to do any re-sawing I believe it only has a 6 1/2 " throat. I debated long and hard on a 14" bandsaw and bought the "unpopular" Shop Fox W1706. I got a Smokin deal on it from a local supplier as I paid cash for $540. Plus the extension kit for $69 just last year this makes for a 12+ inch re-saw capability. I have used it quite a bit and I really like it once you change out the cheapo blade it comes with. It is all cast iron and very stable and heavy. I have done some large re-saw raw pieces as well as quality lumber and it cuts great.
