Pbmaster11
Good morning! I am making a tackle box (pictures attached) I am going to use my incra hingecrafter to make hard maple wooden hinges. I am wondering how to get the lid to stay propped open. I don't want to use a chain because I will have tilt out trays. Any thoughts?

Pbmaster11
Anything in stainless? Not a fan of brass. Typing on cell phone. I apologize for any typing errors.
krtwood
Can you make the wooden hinges such that they have a built in stop? I know there are some small brass hinges with stops but that's a fairly heavy lid as far as small boxes go.
Tom King
A Google search for "stainless steel lid support" found all sorts. http://www.sugatsune.net/Industrial_Component_Hardware/lid_supports/index.cfm?CATID=3&SUBCATID=2 even on ebay http://www.ebay.com/bhp/lid-stay
Rick A McQuay
There is a wood hinge joint with built in stop but I can't remember the name at the moment. I believe it starts with a P________ hinge joint. If I were at my computer I would try googling for it.Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk
