Freddie
Does anybody do woodworking in the morning? Or are you restricted by your day job to do it in the evenings?
Coop
I'm so damn glad to see that this is what it's about and not what the topic sounded like . I'm too old to want to hear you youngsters bragging. Anyway, mine is limited to weekday evening work. On the weekend, I give the neighbors till 7:30 to get their coffee and then I start the machines to running. Can't wait any longer.
Tpt life
I will tinker without power just because of my kids. When I contracted 6:00 was legal, 7:00 was courtesy for power.

Eric.
I'm not picky. Never a bad time for wood. I'm married so obviously I don't get as much as I'd like.
Tom Cancelleri
Whenever I'm not at work and I have a project or the itch to make something. The last 3 weeks I've spent about 35 hours a week in the shop, on top of 40 hour work week. Making reindeer and christmas stuff is time consuming. 4 hours last night, 1 hour so far tonight, took a break to eat dinner.

Jfitz
Freddie, I'm sure there a lot of resources out there on attaining a hand-rubbed finish. Knock yourself out.
Freddie
Good point Fitz, which brings me to my next question. Who the heck came up with the term "rub out" for a finish technique. You would be lying to yourself if you never thought silently to yourself, "tehehe". Shane Jimerfield
There is a lot material in this thread for some flea market t-shirts.
Llama
What's this talk about not waking the neighbors? Isn't that the best part of shop time? I gotta say, when I get to the shop, I don't care who hears it
wdwerker
Nice thing about my shop being in a commercial building , I have worked until 3 am to meet a deadline and no complaints about the noise. I tend to go in late and work late, skip the traffic going both ways ! Haven't had enough to drink yet to come up with a witty addition to the tonuge and cheek level this thread deserves.
