wdwerker
MDF and a washing machine ? Wonder how long until it gets wet and swells? Detergent dispenser was a neat idea.
Pbmaster11
Well water has not been an issue since we owned the units. I guess when we do we will see! Thanks for your comments
wdwerker
Good video! Far better than I could do ! I learned years ago that kitchens, baths and laundry areas end up wet somehow over the years. Might no be any time soon but.... MDF does paint well. Pbmaster11
That was my reasoning for choosing mdf. Painting. Hopefully we can keep it dry
Byrdie
Nice practical application and straight forward construction. Hopefully the paint will offer the protection you need. If not, consider it a dry run for the next one, but it should last long enough.

drzaius
Using a good coat of oil based primer sure increase resistance to moisture.

sjeff70
I see you went the side by side route rather than stacking them. I don't have the room for this, I have to stack my machines. I've seen those who stack their units build a box-like cabinet over the washer which sits on the bottom (a cabinet like a built-in refrigerator). Then when a unit fails you just slide a new one over or under the cabinet. You don't have to fret whether a new unit will stack or having to buy and install a new stacking kit (or if it will even work if mis-matched brands). Nice work and I love the dispenser!
