Keggers
I've finally decided to sell my plane. Some of you may remember the pictures I posted a while back when I was trying to find out what I had. This plane needs to go to someone who can appreciate it. I acquired the plane from my late uncle's estate. I have no idea where he got it or when. I'm guessing the original owner had "Stolen from George P. Murphy" engraved on one side. Please be assured that this plane was NOT stolen from Mr. Murphy or anyone else. I'm not a hand tool guy but the plane appears to be very solid. I see no cracks or defects on any of the parts. I have a general idea of the value and will sell the plane for $110 plus shipping costs. I believe that is below the average of what the same model of plane is bringing on eBay. I ship via UPS. I won't know the exact shipping cost until I box the plane and know the shipping address. I will only charge the exact UPS shipping fee. I will accept only a PayPal payment and will send a PayPal invoice to the buyer's email address. I'll ship the plane the following business day after receving payment. The buyer will receive a shipping notice email from UPS that provides a tracking number. The first person who says they want it gets it. Please pm me with your email address, name and shipping address. The plane will be available for a couple of days and if there are no takers I'm going to list it on eBay. Keggers
There doesn't seem to be much interest in my plane. If I'm asking too much, let me know. I plan to place it on ebay this evening, so If you're interested please let me know. Thanks.
Tpt life
I just hit the mother load CL hand planes considered. It is not that your plane has no appeal. Be patient and bump it now and then. Someone will offer down if they don't like the price.
aengland
Do some cleaning on it, and I bet it would draw interest much faster. As long as there are no cracks in the metal, your price is good.
Keggers
I thought about doing some cleaning on it Archie. Then I thought that whoever bought it might want to do the cleaning themselves. Especially if they know how to clean one up properly.
Llama
Let the next buyer decide if they want a restored plane, or one that looks old.
