estesbubba
I just got the Woodpeckers TS-24-2 t square and noticed mine just has TS-24 on the square and case. All pics I've seen have the -2 and even Marc's Roubo videos have it too. I'm wondering what others have on theirs and if I got the older version? Tpt life
That certainly appears to be version one. Version two models that I have used (not owned :-/) all were clearly labeled.
estesbubba
Cleary I ordered version 2http://www.toolnut.com/Woodpeckers_TS_24_2_T_Square_24_p/ts-24-2.htm
wnaziri
Aside from the insignia, is there any difference in the actual product? I am looking at the same item and will probably get one real soon. If you do find out any functional differences, please share.
Popular Post thewoodwhisperer
Clearly it means it's 2 better. Like an amplifier that goes to 11.

shaneymack
I got the same one a couple weeks back and it's the same as yours Mike.
-MattK-
Mike I have the TS-24-2 as well - it says TS-24 on the tool and on the case.
Dyami Plotke
It certainly looks like you received the first version. That said, what changes were made? From the photos the only difference I can see is the labeling.
Rapid Roger
Get some white-out and add the last "2" and no one will be the wiser. Rog
Eric.
Maybe you got some new old stock that they found in a cluttered corner of the warehouse.I'm trying really hard to think of what changes they could make to a square. Perhaps they changed the length of an inch on the new one. Mine is the same stupid old version that you got. All it does is what a t-square does. Feel better? Tpt life
Ok, this may be something stupid. It may simply be a different hardware kit. The screw heads show a different finish.

Feel better?No...at least not yet I'm going to call on Monday and see if there are any differences. According to the camel the -2 came out in April 2014http://camelcamelcamel.com/Woodpeckers-Precision-Woodworking-Tools-TS-24-2/product/B0013UUQYG
TerryMcK
Maybe they ran out of ink or the 2 is a misprint.

wtnhighlander
Perhaps the -2 just indicates production run #2 of the same item? Was this originally a one-time tool?

andrew-in-austin
I once got a "Precision Triangle" from woodpeckers that had the "P" missing on the triangle itself. I mean, if you are going to boast about [P]recision, shouldn't you spell the entire word? I took it back, for the sole reason that they charge a premium price, and I should get a premium product, not an "irregular" item. Not sure of the -2 thing is the same situation.... estesbubba
Well I can sleep better tonight! Response from Tool Nut:The "-2" in the model number refers to the additional pencils that come with the item, and not a second version of it. I checked all of the other units in inventory (received into our location on 8/26/15) and they are all missing the "-2". This is likely because the model number of the item is "TS-24" and the "-2" just refers to the pencils. That is why the box shows "TS-24-2" but it is not listed on the item/casing. wtnhighlander
Well, that should have been totally obvious!
