Thanks! I realised doing this kind of thing just how awesome your eyes and fingertips really are. The symmetry came from a lot of rubbing opposing pieces at the same time. Then taking the rasp to any parts I didn't feel were identical. A lot of staring at it from different angles helped a lot as well. It's a lot easier than you would think.
