Smaller gauge hand driven brads are sometimes used too until the glue dries. 4" and 6" nails I would use in stud work for construction but mostly use screws for construction nowadays. I've got cut nails from Tremont nail co, Rosehead copper nails, copper tacks (you can texture the head with a ball pein), brass tacks... but the carpentry nails only get used for carpentry.
