45 degree zctp

Recommended Posts

Just listened to latest woodtalk and they suggested making a 45 degree zctp the same way you make a regular 90 degree zctp. Maybe I'm over thinking this but wouldn't the part of the blade, that doesn't have any teeth, still under the slot push the throat plate up?

The blade "raises" perpendicular to the arbor. The blade is tipped by tipping the arbor so the arbor is no longer level. The blade no longer "raises" straight up, but slides on the angle.

Ah yes of course.  Thanks for the explanation.
