Looks like a great start for one days work.  Almost looks like you be done tomorrow.  It looks like refinished ply from here.

It is prefinished ply..  It's not the best stuff but, works great for shop furniture.

Won't get much done the rest of this weekend I'm afraid.  My youngest son is graduating from high school and college (AA Degree) on Saturday.  Steaks on the grill at my place!  Yea, the Treager!

Looking good.  A little disappointed there aren't cabriole legs on it, since you mastered that this morning.

Congrats on your sons graduation!

Was concerned with the strength of that leg being under a drum sander ;)

That's fantastic ! I've been thinking of doing the same thing. The supermax stand is a hunk of trash and I could use some more storage !

The casters themselves are pretty good, so it's not complete garbage

Kev, are you planning on different casters, or just using the ones it comes with?

Congrats on your purchase of the sander! It will definitely be a great asset in the shop!

I came real close to ordering a brush sander from SuperMax last year. I was doing a ton of reclaimed material and there was one job toward the end of the year that fell through. Had I got that job, I would have pulled the trigger on the brush sander.

The guy I was dealing with was pretty helpful and followed through on some information that he had to get together for me. It seemed like a great company to deal with.

Congrats on your son's graduation and good luck as he continues with his education!

No wheels for this one.  Plenty of infeed and outfeed room so, no need for wheels.

I'm selling the plans to Ted Woodworking Plans but, I'll give em to you for 1/2 price if you want them ;)

In all seriousness, there's really not much to it..  If you want some measurements, give me a shout..

Thanks Kev but i would need to do it a little different. I want to build with drawers big enough to fit my leigh d4r pro. Now it's just sitting on the supermax base shelf.

Kev, What is that I see where the three sides meet the bottom? It looks like some kind of metal?

Yea, I tossed a set of glides in the bottom of each opening..

So, if you made the side opening higher and put a longer bottom drawer in the end, that would work great!  My D4 has a home but, that's a great thought!

My D4R is probably going to get hung on the wall. I was looking at some options this morning as to where I can hang it that it will be safe. I figure I'd drill a couple of holes in the board it's mounted to, and then use some hooks to hang it.

That would work but there are so many pieces i would like to keep it all together. No systainer for it dammit !

1) it allowed me to just set the 3/4" ply to the inside of the frame so, no need to shim for the glide

I did something similar to this when I built the base for my router table.  I could never decide whether I was being lazy, clever or just doing something that everyone else had already figured out.

Sometimes it's the right thing to do and sometimes it's being lazy.  Each piece is different so, really depends on the piece.  If it's shop furniture, you just need to decide if you gain some experience by shimming the glide to fit perfectly.

I got dual purpose out of it on this piece so, was a no brainer.
