yes - after finish.  Its a satin sheen, but has a slightly higher gloss than the photos show.  I took them with my phone, at night.  Not great photography I'm afraid.

I have a branding iron, so I branded it on the bottom.  I don't date my work, but I prob should start doing so.

Looks good, I like the clean lines.  Might have to steal this idea a bit someday when I build myself a couple nightstands.  I might want a drawer though.

I debated a drawer, but then the apron would need to be much wider to allow the drawer to be a useful size.  It threw off the "feng shui" of the piece.
