turnstyler
SOLD FULL PRICE>>> maybe too low!! Hello, I am selling my Performax Super-Max 37x2 Drum sander. I am not sure the year, but I included the a photo that lists the model # for your research. I have owned it for about 10 years, I bought it used from Eagle tools in Los Angeles. The drum sander was previously owned by an attorney who I don't think used it much, it was in showroom condition when I got it. It runs very well and I have put very very few hours on it. The sander is 220 Single phase and I just replaced the conveyor belt. I will include the paper I have, I believe it's enough to recover both drums. $1,250 in Los Angeles area. Pwk5017
Not that it matters, but maybe informative for somebody looking to buy. That all silver model is from late 90s to 2000. They switched over to a newer style/look that is what supermax continued to produce after the buyout by Jet. I have a slightly newer model, also a 37x2. Definitely the boss hoss of drum sanders, but leaves you wanting a widebelt most times. $1250 is an outrageously good price on this machine. They sell for $5,000+ new. turnstyler
thanks for the input pwk, I bought this sander used for a great deal years ago and I'm passing along the good fortune since I don't have enough space in my new shop. Just looking for a good home for it.
Pwk5017
Another thing worth noting, Supermax owns the rights to these bigger sanders and continued to manufacture them in america after Jet bought performax. The current design is 90% the same, so parts availability is very good.
turnstyler
I hate to let it go, but I'm in a smaller shop now. Just don't have the space since I have this huge sliding table saw. I might need to sell it too if I find a smaller saw that has a precise cross cut ability.
