Pbmaster11
Thats what I was thinking as well. Also heard "Top Coat" was good for tool surfaces??
Beechwood Chip
The same company makes Top Cote for tables and Dri Cote for blades, bits, cutters, etc. I use them both. they are both very convenient, but I'm not sure they work any better than wax, or if you want the convenience of a spray, spray wax. bywc
I use paraffin wax not for any particular reason other than the fact that one day I needed something that would do as you mentioned and it was the only thing I had on hand so I used it and man oh man did it work well so ever since I have used it.
Beechwood Chip
+1 on the paraffin - it lasts longer than paste wax, I believe.
