xxdabroxx
Hey everyone, long time no talk. I've been picking away at my remodel and I'm getting close to starting work on the kitchen cabinets. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a cabinet construction book for me. I need something to get me started. I haven't decided completely on a design yet, but it will probably be similar to what I did in my bathroom, maybe with faceframes instead of overlay doors though. I have a feeling the face frames will make door fitment easier (or my screw ups less obvious). Thanks in advance, Dave I'm thinking I might do a couple floating shelves left of the kitchen window. I had a cabinet shown there but I think it made it feel more closed off. I haven't put up drywall yet so there is still time to fabricate some brackets and get them installed before the drywall goes up.
woodbutcher
I have this book. Its pretty thorough on all styles of cabinets; face frame or european, overlay or inset doors, what have you. I would recommend it, although it is the only book on cabinets that Ive ever had, so take my recommendation with a small grain of salt. https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Kitchen-Cabinetmaker-Revised-Built/dp/1565238036/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_14_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XAVYHVD0YZS6J0Q5BY0X

Also put in the envelope and carried down to the post office by me. I can't compete with Amazon on price, so I do my best. As an author, it's a big plus to sell books directly. When it comes to getting paid, the author is last in line and gets the smallest slice of the pie. 5
