Stew
I thought you guys might have a better idea of the value of this offer, it seems like a good deal to me. I haven't heard much about the router though, I've heard a lot about the OF 1400 though. Should I take a serious look at this?
Popular Post Cliff
I think I would go over there and test all that and if they work, pack it up and drive away very fast.
Woodenskye
The 1010 router doesn't take 1/2" collet.
wdwerker
It takes 8 mm shanks as well as 1/4" . The 8 mm bits are surprisingly stiffer than a 1/4" shank. Some of Festool's 8mm shank bits have insert carbide tips that work very well.
bleedinblue
If it's all in good shape, don't hesitate. That'll sell in no time.
AstroDave
I think I might make the 1500 mile drive Seems like a great deal if you need those toolls.
minorhero
The drill and the jigsaw are purportedly just jig saws and drills nothing really special about them. You are really paying for the sander the router and the track saw. The price brand new for those tools combined is about$1,400. That $400 difference is not huge so to my mind if when you get there if anything is not exactly how you need it I would not buy it.
Bankstick
Would any warranty be in effect? You might be better off spending the $1K on new tools with a warranty. JMHO.
Brendon_t
The 1010 is a great trim and finish router. It's not for general work. Like was said above, the jigsaw and drill aren't really game changers but the other 3 would be worth it at that price with everything but I wouldn't hesitate too long

I'd easily drop the $300+ or whatever it was to get the Trion again. And I hear it's not as good as the Carvex. That is my opinion anyway. Mark J
So @Stew what did you end up doing?
Stew
Well I thought long and hard about it and decided that since I have most of those tools (not green one's ) except for the track saw, I'm going to pass. I would like to have a track saw one of these days, I'm not used to seeing tools like that on CL around here and got a little bit excited. Once I settled down I came to that decision, lol. thanks everyone for there responses.
Cliff
I gotta move. I literally only see Craftsman on my local CL. The one time I found Festool, it was a guy looking for a Domino. That post was there for months.
