Popular Post BillyJack Posted June 28, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted June 28, 2024 Took the grand daughter fishing. She lasted two hours on the boat without the TV and tablet. They weren’t hitting worms and said the was tired and bored. 4 Quote
Tom King Posted June 28, 2024 Report Posted June 28, 2024 That's why they call it fishing and not catching fish. 1 Quote
Coop Posted June 29, 2024 Report Posted June 29, 2024 Once she catches a fish, she’ll be hooked! 1 Quote
Popular Post pkinneb Posted June 29, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted June 29, 2024 Our hot tub crapped out last year so we bought a new one unfortunately when they came to deliver it they found out the old one (20 years old) had rotted out on the bottom and so they could not remove it So today I got a the sawzall out and cut her up took about 45 min, I'll tarp it and take it to the dump Monday I also had to enlarge the deck a couple inches and I am going to add a removable deck panel for easier access to the mechanicals. To old to crawl under anymore LOL. I also am adding a retaining wall and hopefully between that and the fact the the new hot tub has a resin outer shell this won't happen again. Hope to finish tomorrow, if I can get out of bed i'm a bit sore... 8 Quote

Popular Post pkinneb Posted July 2, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted July 2, 2024 Ready for them to come back and set the new hot tub in. Once done I will resurface the deck with Trex Transcend decking cut to the new round hot tub. 5 Quote
Popular Post Tom King Posted July 3, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted July 3, 2024 Our ground is so hard and dry that I had to use a 6' long pipe on the handle of a t post popper today to get them out of the ground. Pam had planted some Fig bushes several years ago. We put some metal T posts in the ground around them and some chicken wire to keep the deer from eating the Figs. We're in a drought here, but I've been watering them with water in the loader bucket. They had outgrown their pens. Normally, one slight push down on the post popper will break one loose and you can lift it right out of the ground. Today I could put all my weight on it and it wouldn't budge, so I went to the shop and brought back my largest leverage pipe. It took three different pulls on each one with the pipe to get one out of the ground. I didn't even try to drive any back in. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/tooltuff-direct-t-post-puller-2346758? 4 Quote
JohnG Posted July 3, 2024 Report Posted July 3, 2024 Tom, do you prefer using that tool over wrapping the t-post with chain and lifting them out with the tractor? Or is it more for locations that don’t have tractor access? Quote
Tom King Posted July 3, 2024 Report Posted July 3, 2024 It's usually a lot less work and quicker, especially for one person, than getting on and off the tractor for every one. It usually pops them right loose with one operation and you can lift it out of the ground. I'm pretty sure yesterday if I had used a chain and tractor that we would have bent them enough that maybe they would have been aggravating to reuse. Quote

legenddc Posted July 10, 2024 Report Posted July 10, 2024 Yesterday I had gum graft surgery on the right side of my mouth. Half my face looks like a softball. Not in any pain, just swollen. Liquid diet all day yesterday and today. Starting tomorrow I can move on to soft foods like scrambled eggs and mashed potatoes. I was told the most vigorous thing I can do is walking for at least a week. I need to figure out all the boring stuff I can accomplish before I'm able to get back in the shop. 1 2 Quote

Popular Post Chestnut Posted July 11, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted July 11, 2024 Found a good use for both the toddler and my festool vac. Have to get them on the kool-aide early. I also made this thing. It was fun. 8 Quote

Popular Post Tom King Posted July 11, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted July 11, 2024 Our children were that size a few months ago. They're 36 and 42 years old now. 5 Quote
Popular Post gee-dub Posted July 12, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted July 12, 2024 "What did you do today?" Resisted the urge to choke my daughter's Great Dane that we are dog-sitting. She's a good girl but has not been trained to avoid two things I will not tolerate from a dog; needless barking and door charging. She's a sweetheart but I will be glad to see her go back home . We are also sitting her Chiweenie; talk about a difference in animal sizes and behaviors . Our American Bully mix is about halfway between size-wise but let's everyone know just whose home this is. She may be old but . . . don't mess with her turf . 4 2 Quote
