collinb
Went to HD this weekend only to learn that they're closing out their 24" Bessey K clamps. At 25% off they were just under $30 ea. on Amazon they're over $50 ea. Might be worth a look if they're doing this nationally.

bleedinblue
I had read HD is going to Dewalt clamps. If that's the case, they'll be clearing out the besseys. That might be what's happening.

It's a very good pistol grip type of clamp with trigger release. And it's much better than the common Irwin equivalents. But it won't tighten as well as the F & K types. Both are useful. I'll keep an eye out for more coming discounts. Tx
bleedinblue
The post I read said Dewalt has come out with their own line of parallel clamps and that's what HD is switching to. I haven't put any effort into confirming.

I wonder if that's going to make the threads bind more?

Edit: they have changed the design a bit (they look stronger now):
Chestnut
Well that confirms that they are indeed trash then probably. I'm not going to hold my breath. Though i am going to run by HD and see if i can snag some cheap bessys
wdwerker
I would rather have Bessey K body Jr clamps than those.
wtnhighlander
I have 2 of those Irwins. Took some experimentation to determine how to hold the jaw to slide it open and shut, but once I figured that out, they seem to work well enough. Have to agree, though. The yellow ones are just a different color.
krtwood
The two embossed angle thingies being at slightly different angles makes me want to buy them just to grind that stuff off them and then return them.
Jfitz
Looks like to 50" clamps are available for a good price at my local HD - even though I have mostly Jet clamps, a few Besseys at the right price would be a nice addition. Has anyone picked up some F-style clamps as well? Are they a good deal as well?

And unless one has Prime sales tax is certainly < shipping.
