Using the little holes to mark lines works pretty well but when using an odd distance I have to count up or over to a reference point so I can go back in the same place when I need to advance the lead on my mechanical pencil. I've had a Veritas saddle square for years and still use it in certain circumstances. But the longer edge and shorter lip makes the Woodpeckers version more useful. Plus the Veritas square is uncomfortable in my pocket. I've had the 4" WP square in my pocket all day sometimes. Anyone got the longer ones ?
