Or screw the board to the outside of the pipe where the bottom of the board registers flat to to top of your ts. Raise the blade to only a little over the thickness of your pipe wall. A whole lot less danger of kickback or anything else, than trying to rip a gnarly piece of red oak. If I might ask, what the heck are you making?
