Mick S
Beautiful work, Terry. When I saw that first piece it reminded me of this piece by Curtis Erpedling that I saw on display in Seattle a couple of years back.

The place where we are staying is on the mountain behind Dollywood. We get to listen to the steam engine whistle around it's loop all day. Yay us. Can't beat the view, though.

Popular Post Tpt life
I’d rather be far from people, but this is my wife’s choice. School starts this week so it’s a hurrah of sorts before the storm.

Popular Post Chet
My wife and I just spent some time in Yosemite National Park. The picture below is my favorite view in the park, partially because you can sit here for the better part of the day and hardly have anyone else wonder to this spot, even though it is only about 200 yards from parking. This is looking south west back toward Yosemite Valley. Clouds Rest on the left, Half Dome in the back ground just right of center and Mount Watkins (flat top) just to the right of Half Dome Next day, down in the valley, looking sort of in the opposite direction as the picture above. On the left is El Capitain, the largest, exposed, single piece of granite in the world. To the right of El Cap, in the back ground is Clouds Rest and to the right of that and also in the back ground is Half Dome.

Chestnut
Wow Chet that's awesome. One of my favorite pictures I've ever taken was at Yosemite. It was taken with my IR converted camera on the hike up to Nevada falls. That place is stunning.

Popular Post TerryMcK
A trip around Budapest parliament building revealed lots of woodwork and gilding decorations. They have a staff of 600 looking after the building including a team of woodworkers. The spectacular late 19th century building. And below inside the house of commons where the MPs debate.

TerryMcK
They had cameras and microphones everywhere in the chamber, sockets on each of the desks to plug headphones in. As well as voting buttons for, against, abstain and one to signal the speaker that the individual should like to speak. So I’m not really sure what the sound was like. wtnhighlander
Enjoy it thoroughly, Drew! I had a nice weekend for yardwork and such, so nice that I nearly couldn't get out of bed Monday, from sore muscles. I'll be lucky to have one more rain-free weekend before it gets too unbearably hot for such shennanigans.
Mark J
I think it's always too hot for yardwork... unless it's too cold for yardwork. It's either one or the other.
Popular Post Tpt life
Dead Horse Point State Park. Hitting Arches on the way home from spending time with my dad. Cannot believe how long it is taking him to receive death certs and ashes. It was good to spend a week with him and do nothing but sit close. Now it is good to stop somewhere to expand the experience of my kids. This is one reason we drive these cross continent trips.
