Popular Post Belle City WW
I built this table out of ash. My wife wanted a place to store her crocheting stuff. It has yet to be finished because she can't make up her mind what finish she wants Thanks for looking! John
Just Bob
Very nice! 3 coats of ARS to bring out the grain and call it done!
..Kev
Turned out great! I'd shoot it with a few coats of High Performance and be done.. ARS is a good choice as well.
Chestnut
I really like the look as it sits. I'd probably go with a WB poly like high performance as well. I have something i made out of ash and i used oil based on it and it turned out to yellow for my liking. Ash also takes dye well so that'd be something i'd consider. I've been meaning to try some dyes lately, but I've just been to obsessed with cherry and my #1 commandment is Thou shall not stain or dye cherry.

pkinneb
Very nice! Great reveals and consistent gaps around the door and drawer.
wdwerker
Looks like a medium brown stain might enhance the grain , but don't stain it too dark or you will hide all the grain.
curlyoak
Nice work! My favorite would be Waterlox original sealer. 3 or 4 coats.
wdwerker
After rethinking my earlier comment I remembered building a piece from ash and dyeing it black then using a clear topcoat. All the open grain shows beautifully. You could even go nuts with a brite color if your style embraces the eclectic.
