Wow, looks like theres a storm brewing in that wood!

My Alabama woodworker jumping up and down about the black rainbow poplar. I send him a pic and asked him if he was in or out on it. He said, he was forsure in.  He said, I was cooking now.

He was the guy that got me to start hunting for the rainbow poplar logs. I was like all the woodworkers on here about rainbow poplar junk wood. The best selling lumber I cut. I got one call about it last night and two calls today about the rainbow poplar lumber.

Spanky, you might want to watch how you post these. Your log supplier may see them and raise your price :(! That is some amazing wood!

Coop I was joking about the $12.50 bdft. No sawmill wants cow pee ( mineral salt) rainbow poplar logs.  It cuts out lower grade pallet lumber for them. But then you have the woodworkers and the guys building new house and thats a new ball game.

This one came from a farmer  that said he had a huge junk poplar log that nobody would pay anything for. I looked at it and said I would buy it. I have two more coming from a logger this week. Most sawmills want pay the loggers a haul bill for them. A log yard calls me everytime they get one wanting me to come get it.
