Here a couple pics of curly cherry lumber. Look at the outside of the boards in the first pic, thats what a curly tree will look like.

I want to show you what I got from Houston today. Talk about a box maker check this out.

Put a few more sticks of lumber up on the rails.

I have a pair of bookmatched QSWO boards stashed away that are 37 inches wide side by side  and 9 foot 4 inches long, still haven't found what they are meant for yet. If you find a curly tree like that it would be the cats meow. :D

You are talking about $4.50 to $6.50 per ft for a log that will cut lumber like that. I didn’t know that you was wanting to spend that much money. :D

I was thinking all the guy’s in Iowa was tight!

@B1rdhunter if that curly white oak log had been good. I was going to QS it and kiln dry it and head straight to Iowa. I was going by Eastern Iowa just to show it to a ole boy, but he wouldn’t have got any of it. :P

How long do you air dry oak before the kiln?

Speaking of Iowa, we’re planning on a big meet there in Sept. or so, face mask or not.

Going up to the Amanas?

That is some seriois curl, Ricky! What is that, beech? Bark looks smooth.

Well, shoot Ross, I was working on a big name for that log. I just knew Coop and Cousin Dave would want to know what kind of log that was. I was going to set the hook and reel the two old timer’s in. :D

Rickey, what is the width of the widest boards? That just might have to come to Houston.

Not sure on the width Coop.  So for $30.00 I will just put all the lumber from that log in your pile going to Houston. You will need to air dry it.

Maybe next time Dave will speak up!
