Blum Hinge Help

Inset thick doors will require a wider gap on both vertical edges. They do make concealed hinges for thick doors but they are usually for overlay applications. You might be able to get thicker baseplates or need to make your own spacers to make it work. I strongly suggest you build a mock up cabinet & door to practice how big the gaps need to be. My guess is start at 1/8 gaps and don't be suprised if it's over 3/16 before the door swings without hitting the frame. The top & bottom gaps might not need to be very big but they will look funny if they aren't approximately the same as the vertical gaps.  Beveling the edges slightly might let you reduce the gaps visually, wider edges on the outside.
