Valerie2
Hi! I am going to build a sauna light panel like this https://saunaspace.com/shop/tungsten/ I found 24" x 5" basswood boards at Rockler and am going to glue them together. The issue is I need non toxic glue when heated by the sauna. Any suggestions?
treeslayer
Use Titebond 3, (waterproof) just don’t drink it or eat it when it’s dry seriously most glue is non toxic when dry. Why do you want it to be non toxic? Oh, and welcome to the forum Valerie, lots of good info and be sure to post some pictures of your work
Byrdie
i agree with treeslayer - Titebond will not be heat reactive when it's cured and should pretty much be non-toxic. I wouldn't make a meal of it but if you were to get some in your mouth it wouldn't do more than taste bad. I guess that really depends on your tastes, too.
Coop
Valerie, what kind of finish are you planning to use on the basswood? As much or more of a concern than the glue. +3 on the TB 3.
