I meant to mention this before now and failed to . Richard is having back surgery in the morning to hopefully relieve some bothersome pain he’s had for some time now. So join me if you will with thoughts and prayers and hopes for a quick recovery. Thanks

Will do. Hopefully he'll be competing against Tiger next April in Augusta!

He is always on my mind these past months.  I don't even know what to say anymore.

Thanks for the heads up. I hope that it goes smoothly for him but most of all i hope it's effective. My previous boss's wife had 5 surgeries over 3 years to solve back pain and they weren't successful. She was a Nurse for 30 years and probably did a bit too much improper lifting.

Years ago, my uncle was told by a orthopedic specialist that back surgery is the only surgery they can't guarantee. Get better, stay the same or get worse. Have three nurses in the immediate family- lots of lifting, turning, and getting patients in and out of beds, wheelchairs, etc. Two are retired and my daughter is going for her NP certification- one more year to go!

Rick is very much in my thoughts and I'm just waiting to hear that he's spending time with our mutual friend Jack.

He’ll have to wear a prefitted brace for a while and as his doc is also a woodworker, he warned him not to take it off till the glue dries! And a lot of this and a lot of that and knowing Rick, it’s a waste of breath! :D  He’ll be home in three days I think, and I’m sure will appreciate your well wishes.

I believe he said he has some irons to sharpen and some other tools to dress.  I don't think that'll last long enough but hopefully he heeds the wood doctor's advice.

Rick has an old biker buddy, Hippy,  caring for him, to the hospital and back and a couple of days to get thru recovery. Word has it that Hippy and Jack are going to the hospital tomorrow for a visit. I have a feeling that the nurses will see to it that he comes home early! Supposedly Sunday is the proposed release date.

Hopefully Hippy has a sidecar, otherwise it could be a rough ride home. :D:lol:

Glad to hear Rick has some help.  Who's taking care of his dog, Boo?

Best wishes to Rick's recovery. Jack & meds don't always play well together. Hopefully he can keep them separated.

I should have updated this earlier but was hoping for better news before I did. I’ve been talking to Rick daily about his recovery and he is still in considerable pain and his doc and surgeon have no answers. His discomfort is so bad that that he can’t sit in front of a computer long enough to get on here. Hopefully they find a resolve soon.
