treesner
Anyone sell some kind of tool holder that maybe sits on the propane bottle and holds the branding iron above the flame?
Mark J
I just hand hold the handle and rotate the brass branding "iron" in the flame. Periodically I test it for hot enough on scrap wood. The propane torch stand on it's bottom.
wtnhighlander
I'm not familiar with any commercial brand holder, it should be simple to fashion one from stiff, heavy wire.. Buy a couple feet of AWG#6 bare copper ground wire and band it to the shape you need. Personally, I stand my iron on its head, on the eye of my kitchen stovetop. Still heats the iron with no trouble.
