wood chair pivot point reinforcement

hey guys I kind of want to make a camp chair with wood legs, do you think I would need to reinforce the pivot point with some kind of metal sleeve that the bolt goes through? also what would a clean bolt to use?

I've seen some wood leg camp chairs and they usually use this type of bracket thing

On another forum someone asked a similar question about the same brackets. They are for wooden campaign chairs. As I recall, they are available commercially, but are very expensive. Sorry, can't remember any more than that.

Google 'Roorkher chair' for examples of a camp chair design that is much more suited to wooden legs. The fancy leather parts don't have to be fancy or leather.
