I needed to simplify

I'm not sure, but I could dent some places with just a fingernail.  And it just sucked up the danish oil. And it frayed a lot when working it.  Card scraper took care of that.

Looks great Rick, I wouldn’t worry about it being too soft any dents add character, and speaking of card scrapers I just bought 2, learned how to sharpen them and I don’t know how I went all these years without them

They make a world of difference in places you'd never expect.

Thats great looking Rick.  Lots of color in that maple.  The cherry is kind of a cock bead detail, nice addition.

Most of all I am glad you are able to get some shop time going again.

I cut over a 100 bdft of ambrosia maple lumber today in the rain. Sold 100 bdft of it to a woodworker.

Rick, the table looks good.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get my mind in the shop. And I'm still not fully there.

I’m not surprised at the quality as I’ve seen your work before. It’s about time you got your ass back out in the shop and made yourself useful! Great looking piece Rick. And stay off the back porch when it’s wet. Another story!
